The Great Tribulation and the Wrath of Yahweh, represent two unique events, with very different end results. All who are alive on planet earth during the final three and a half years of this current age will experience the Great Tribulation. The Wrath of Yahweh, is the judgment that separates the ungodly for eternity.
There will be no rapture or gathering of the church until this time of trouble has expired. The Great Tribulation and the Wrath of Yahweh, represent an incredibly destructive and deceptive period of judgment’s, and a final eternal separation from Yahweh for those who practice iniquity.
Rev 6:16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, even from the wrath of the Lamb
The Elect, who have been Sealed, understand that the Great Tribulation is not Yahweh’s Wrath. The two witnesses will testify to the reality of the Wrath that will come upon all of the ungodly (1 Peter 4:18; 2 Peter 2:5; 3:7).
The Great Tribulation is the wrath of Satan unleashed during the final 3-1/2 years prior to Yahweh’s return. The Wrath of the Yahweh is eternal damnation.
Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate
Seventy weeks are determined upon a people and on Jerusalem. Sixty-nine of these weeks were unto Messiah the Savior who is the very image of Yahweh (Dan 9:24-26).
The first half of the seventieth week of Daniel was fulfilled by our Savior. His ministry was for three and one-half years, and He did establish the covenant with many people.
Messiah was the one who caused the sacrifices to cease, as his body was offered as a final sacrifice for sin, a better covenant was established upon better promises. He also brought forth a New Covenant, that would replace the first one, that Israel after the flesh disregarded, and were disinherited for. Judah after the flesh also rejected Messiah, and obviously had no regard for His New Testament. Many also disregarded the Old Testament Law. (Heb 8:6-13; Jer 3:8; Jer 31:31-33).
Heb 10:28-29 He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of Yahweh, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
Israel and indeed Judah after the spirit, (representing all believers in Yahweh) would accept the New Covenant unto eternal life. This new contract would be written in the hearts and minds of a people that would faithfully follow Him and inherit the restored Jerusalem at His second coming. These people would be the branch of His planting, that would bear good fruit (Isa 60:21; 65:9; Math 25:34).
The Wrath of God – like a whirlwind
Messiah said your house is left unto you desolate, and Daniel 9:27, states that it is confirmed to remain in that same spiritual condition of rebellion and iniquity. Desolations continue until all that is determined is poured out on this most desolate of people. The Wrath of Yahweh will be poured out on all that have not been Sealed. This is the end result of these desolations.
The final half of the last week, represents the final period of desolation of the Great Whore. During the Great Tribulation, Jerusalem the once faithful city is referred to as a harlot as it is full of murderers, and controlled by the Beast (Isa 1:21; Dan 11:45; Dan 7:7-23; Rev 13:11-18).
Rev 11:3-7 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth
Our Savior confirmed the covenant with many at the beginning of the New Testament age. The two witnesses are messengers of the covenant during the Great Tribulation. They will declare the wrath of Yahweh that is soon to arrive. Their ministry takes place in Jerusalem which is referred to as Sodom and Egypt spiritually. It remains desolate until Yahweh returns to bring in everlasting righteousness and heal the land (Rev 11:1-15; Dan 9:24-27; 2 Ch 7:14).
Isaiah 1:2-6 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for Yahweh hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me. The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master’s crib: but Israel doth not know, this people doth not consider. Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken Yahweh, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward. Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint. From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment
Isaiah presents a vivid and disturbing picture of an evil and corrupt people that practice iniquity.
Except for a remnant that is faithful, they are to be destroyed by the wrath of Yahweh, in a similar fashion like unto like Sodom and Gomorrah. Because of their rebellion and wickedness, His Wrath will come upon them like a whirlwind. When they cry out in their destruction, He will hide his eyes from them (Isa 1:10; 1:15; 1:25).
Isaiah 1:7-9 Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers. And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city. Except that Yahweh of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah
Yahweh’s Anger Reserved For The Deceived
They have rebelled and are to be devoured (Isa 1:20). Because they say in their hearts that Yahweh will do no good or evil, the land and all that dwell therein shall be devoured by the wrath of Yahweh (Zep 1:1-18).
Isaiah 24:1-6 Behold, Yahweh maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof. And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for Yahweh hath spoken this word. The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish. The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left
The land shall stumble like a drunkard, it will fall and not rise again. Fear the pit and the snare are reserved for those who will be destroyed by the wrath of Yahweh (Isa 24:18-21).
The intensity of the Great Tribulation, will be something to behold. It will seem like Yahweh’s wrath to many, but it is not. The sun and the moon will be darkened, the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment before the redeemed of Yahweh will return to Jerusalem. He will reign in mount Zion, and Jerusalem shall be Holy (Isa 51:6; 51:11; Isa 24:23; Joel 3:15-17).
Once Yahweh removes all of the iniquity from the land, He will set up His kingdom and Zion shall be called the city of righteousness (Isa 1:26-27; Isa 2:1-5). The Ransomed of Yahweh shall be gathered unto Zion (Isa 35:10).
Isaiah 65:11-12 But ye are they that forsake Yahweh, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number. Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not
After the wrath of Yahweh, He will create a new heaven and a new earth. The word create used in this verse carries the same meaning as the word used in the description of the first creation of all things in the book of Genesis (Isa 65:17, 25, Gen 2:4).
Isaiah 65:17-18 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
Yahweh’s Wrath removes the transgressors
The wrath of Yahweh will remove all those that destroy the earth. He will destroy and thoroughly purge from the land all things that offend, but He will also restore the land in a manner never seen before, and rule with righteousness.
Isaiah 65:25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith Yahweh
Those that falsely claim to the right of an inheritance with the Father apart from the Son, shall leave their name for a curse unto those that are truly chosen. Yahweh shall slay the deceivers. However, the children of Yahweh shall be made incorruptible, and immortal (Pro 10:7, Isa 65:15, Hosea 1:9-10, Mat 21:41, Rom 9:26, 1 Peter 2:9-10, 1 John 3:1-3, 1 Cor 15:53, 2 Cor 6:18).
Rom 8:16 The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of Yahweh
After the wrath of Yahweh, the impurities will be burned away, and they that have forsaken Yahweh will be consumed. Only then will Jerusalem be referred to as the faithful city (Heb 9:12-15; Isa 1:26-28). Zion shall be redeemed through the righteousness of Yahweh our Savior.
But your iniquities are what has separated you from Yahweh, and because of your sins He has hid his face from you, that he will not hear you. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. None called for justice, nor did any plead for the truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity (Isaiah 59:2-4).
Isaiah 59:7 Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths
They professed that they were wise, but in reality were but fools. The wisdom of all the world apart from Yahweh is foolishness (Rom 1:18-25; 1 Cor 3:19).
Isaiah 59:10 We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noonday as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men
Those who make their own law, commandments and ordinances simply create false religions. They transgress or depart from Yahweh’s Law, are without the Spirit of truth, and are therefore unable to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Luke 16:13-15 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve Yahweh and mammon. And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him. And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but Yahweh knows your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of Yahweh
The Great Tribulation, and the Wrath of Yahweh, do indeed represent two very different end time prophecies.
