The words “If my people which are called by my name” represent a deceitful translation at the hands of the lying pen of the scribes.
2Ch 7:14 If my people which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land
The added words, namely are and by, are inserted to hide an essential decree. Yahweh commands His people to call upon His name.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of Yahweh shall be saved (Rom 10:13).
The commandment to call upon the name of Yahweh is given to the Old and New Testament Saints.
It shall come to pass, at the end of this age, that those who call upon the name of Yahweh shall be saved (Joel 2:32).
2 Chron 7:14 If my people <H5971>, which are called <H7121> by my name <H8034>, shall humble <H3665> themselves, and pray <H6419>, and seek <H1245> my face <H6440>, and turn <H7725> from their wicked <H7451> ways <H1870>; then will I hear <H8085> from heaven <H8064>, and will forgive <H5545> their sin <H2403>, and will heal <H7495> their land <H776>
To even have their petitions heard, the people who called upon the name of Yahweh would have to put on humility, pray and seek His presence. The words “My People” could only refer to those who turned away from the wicked path they were on.
Furthermore, there could never be a people that were called by His name, which is Yahweh.
The deceptive phrase, called by my name, is used eleven times in the King James version: 2Ch 7:14, Isa 43:7, Isa 65:1, Jer 7:10, Jer 7:11, Jer 7:14, Jer 7:30, Jer 25:29, Jer 32:34, Jer 34:15, Amo 9:12.
Isa 45:4 For Jacob my servant’s sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.
Compare the truth presented in Isa 45:4, with the lie put forth in 2 Chron 7:14. The false translation, if my people which are called by my name, is presented in a vain attempt, to hide the fact that the true children of Yahweh did indeed call upon His name.
If the people who call upon my name
If the people who call upon my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land (2 Ch 7:14).

- Zech 13:9 they shall call <H7121> on my name <H8034>
Consider the damage that is accomplished simply by adding the words are and by.
- 2 Chron 7:14 which are called <H7121> by my name <H8034>
Isa 48:1 Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, which are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah, which swear by the name of Yahweh, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness
The house of Jacob was called by the name of Israel, not by the name of Yahweh.

One of the greatest crimes today (spiritually speaking) is the failure of mankind to call upon the name of Yahweh.
Isa 43:1 – But now thus saith Yahweh that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine
Yahweh will gather His sons and daughters that call upon His name. Many are called by Yahweh (but few are chosen), however no one is ever called by the name of Yahweh. Furthermore, Yahweh is God the Creator; He alone is Savior to those who call upon His name.

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto Yahweh (Isa 55:7).

Isa 65:1 I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name
So it is today today, as it was back then, few have a personal relationship with Yahweh, and call Him by His name.
…I said, behold me, behold me, unto a nation that would not call upon my name (Isa 65:1).
