How to have the assurance of Salvation
The assurance of Salvation is given to those who are born-again, through this Baptism of Holy Spirit wherein Yahshua dwells within us. Only then does the understanding of when we are Saved becomes evident.
Heb 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many, and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation
There are several problems with the interpretation of Hebrews 9:28, as found in most modern-day translations. The word unto is a primary preposition indicating the point reached or entered, and this verse describes Christ who returns with our Salvation. Also, Yahshua is and always was without sin, therefore this is a reference to how He see’s His faithful servants upon His return. And finally, the phrase, and unto them that look for him, is better translated as patiently wait for Him (Heb 4:15, Rom 8:23-25).
Romans 10:3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God
Those who claim that they already are saved, are deceived and this represents self-righteousness. Although the false teachers may bear the brunt of the judgments due, for putting forth such damnable doctrines of deceit, their students are also in grave danger.
We must not allow the Christian Salvation deception teachings to present us with false hopes. If we endure until the end we will be saved. Our hope of Salvation allows us to endure all things for and through Yahshua our Savior.
Jer 23:6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS
Matt 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
The words shall be saved, and unto salvation, both are clearly future tense promises. The danger of this Christian Salvation deception teaching is deadly, to say the least. You are saved when you are saved. As the word clearly tells us, he who endures until the end will be saved.
The false preachers within the Christian church have done great harm to their followers, by teaching them that they are both saved, and born again.
The burden of proof necessary to validate the claim of being born-again is impossible if the false claim of having obtained Salvation is made.
2 Tim 4:3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
Assurance of Salvation Through the Holy Spirit
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things…
To properly interpret the scriptures we must gain access to the true teacher that proclaimed the future before the beginning of time even existed.
The answers that are to be sought after contained in the Word of God are but parables to those who are not Sealed by Yahshua through the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Prov 15:21 Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom: but a man of understanding walketh uprightly
The mysteries of the Gospel of Yahshua the Messiah are available to all who submit to His plan of authority and Lordship in their lives. What we share with others must not be our version of the truth, and our faith should not rest on the wisdom of men, rather it should be the result of the workings of the Spirit of God within us.
If any man does not have the Spirit of Yahshua through the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, he is not one of His. To know of Yahshua is but the first step, for him to know us we must be born-again. Without His Spirit of truth residing within us, an intimate relationship with Him is quite impossible (Rom 8:9).
Our Lord said the “Words that I speak they are Spirit and they are Life” (John 6:63). There is a reason for false teachings, various denominations, confusion, and ignorance of the truth. Without the Spirit of truth, the teachings of man are just a conglomeration of biased opinions.
Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Only those who are Born-again can be Saved
That which is born of the flesh is of the flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is of the Spirit.
Unless you are born-again you can not have a true knowledge of the Kingdom of God; we can have the assurance of Salvation by no other means.
Becoming born-again and receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit are one in the same. Unless a man is born of water and the Spirit, he can not enter into the Kingdom of God (John 3:3-8).
A great tragedy is to believe that you are born-again without ever experiencing the true indwelling of the Holy Spirit. This lie is an empty promise that leads to death and destruction, as the ability to truly understand Yahshua and His life-changing testimony is impossible without His Spirit (John 14:17; 15:26; 16:13; Eph 1:13).
All false teachers and the congregations that they preside over, that do not truly have the Holy Spirit have a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof. We can have the assurance of Salvation, and the first chapter of Ephesians gives us a vivid description of that Salvation process.
The believer that has been Sealed is born-again. This life-changing event is also known as the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. We can have the assurance of Salvation once we have the infilling of the Holy Spirit. This is when a faithful walk with Yahshua (aka Jesus) is possible.
Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise
Christ purchased us through His shed blood, and gives us the Holy Spirit, as a down payment of a contract unto eternal life with Him. We are Sealed or set apart from the world at this point.
Eph 1:14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
The fulfillment of Yahshua’s contract with His children which is our inheritance occurs upon our Redemption at His second coming. This redemptive event is the Salvation of our souls.
John the Baptist spoke of two Baptisms. One is unto repentance, and as a result of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, we can have the assurance of Salvation.
Without the Spirit, it is impossible to fully understand the Word of God. That is why there is so much division within Christianity today.
Luke 3:16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire
John tells us that we also will be Baptized with fire. This will be a process in which the impurities and useless pursuits of our lives will be burned up. What is left behind will be the determination of what type of rewards are due. Some will obtain Salvation which is true everlasting life, others will be given the rewards due to them, namely damnation unto everlasting torment.
1 Cor 3:13-14 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
Our faith will also be tried in much the same way as our works. The end result of real faith is the assurance of Salvation without any hesitation or worry about the possibility of not obtaining it.
1 Peter 1:7-9 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Yahshua the Messiah: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
It is the Spirit of truth that enables us to receive Yahshua. It also empowers us to be a faithful witness to others with the authority that He alone can provide.
John 15:26-27 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: And ye also shall bear witness,(or testify) because ye have been with me from the beginning.
We will be Saved because of the renewing of the Spirit that is within us. The picture here is one of our old natures being made new. The same word is used when Paul warns us not to conform to the world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.
The word regeneration is used by Yahshua to describe the process of our immortality and incorruption when we are changed at His glorious second coming. We can have the assurance of Salvation; however, the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is necessary if this assurance is to be based on reality.
Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he (saves us) by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost
We can have the assurance of Salvation, and use this Spiritual force as both a tactical and a defensive weapon.
With a real faith unto Salvation, we may endure until the end and conquer and overcome the many obstacles that the enemy places in our path.
1 Peter 1:9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
Those who endure until the end can be Saved
We must not follow the spirit of this world after the traditions of men, but allow the Holy Spirit to teach us the way of truth, which is in our Messiah Yahshua (1 Cor 2:12-16).
Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in the Messiah Yahshua hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
If the Spirit of Yahshua does not dwell within us, it is impossible to escape the penalty of sin which is death.
Romans 8:4 That the righteousness of the law (of Christ) might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
When we see the events of the Great Tribulation come to pass Yahshua said we are to look up, for our Redemption draws near (Luke 21:28).
Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
The assurance of Salvation is for those who endure until the end
1 Thess 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
False preachers can destroy the faith of there followers. To teach that Salvation is achieved by mere spoken words removes faith and hope from occurring. It is impossible to hope for something you already claim to possess (2 Tim 2:14-18).
However, we can have the assurance of Salvation, and the hope of our inheritance with Christ. This gives us an enduring faith that cannot be shattered.
The end result of our faith is the Salvation of our Souls (1 Peter 1:9).
A lot of religious people ask the question,” Can I lose my Salvation”? These folks do not understand the rewards that are promised to be given at the end of this age. Yahshua said, “he that shall endure unto the end the same shall be Saved” (Mark 13:13).
Christians need to stop worrying about losing their Salvation. It is quite impossible to lose something you don’t yet possess.
Romans 13:11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
As the above verses clearly state – our Salvation is a future occurrence.
2 Thes 2:13 But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to (or unto) salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth
To understand the intended meaning of salvation scriptures it is important to realize that the word to, used in 2 Thes 2:13, carries the same meaning as the word unto, used in Matt 3:11.
In both verses, the word that should be used is unto, and this subtle change creates a completely different meaning.
Matt 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire
Water baptism is an outward process towards an inward change, which is repentance. So to then sanctification and belief of the truth are unto Salvation.
Matt 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
