Christians are not required to tithe, but giving unto others is what those who are sealed with the Spirit of Yahweh live for.
It truly is better to give than it is to receive. But a carnal, or fleshly mind, focused on self preservation, is inward thinking as opposed to outward giving. A Spiritual re-birth occurs when Yahweh’s Spirit resides within us.
Eph 2:14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
The law of commandments contained in ordinances does not pertain to the New Covenant Church, therefore they are not required to tithe.
Eph 2:15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
On the cross, our Messiah abolished the Mosaic Law and ordinances, including tithing and sin offerings.
Heb 7:18 For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
Christians are not required to tithe, nor are they to make offerings for their sins.
Tithing was an Old Covenant Requirement
Heb 9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
Messiah who is the image of Yahweh manifest in the flesh, is the Promised Savior that would deliver us from our sins. He also paid for the sins of those who were under the Old Testament Law given to the Hebrews through Moses. The faithful Old Testament believers, would also receive the promise of eternal life through Him.
The true followers of Yahweh are not under the Old Testament Law of bondage, but the new Law of liberty. The New Covenant was established upon a better, and eternal promise. Also our sins and iniquities will He remember no more (Heb 8:6, 12).
2 Cor 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for Yahweh loveth a cheerful giver.
This giving is out of love, and it does not necessarily relate to money. It is based on compassion as opposed to ordinances. More often than naught, sharing time, talents and knowledge with others is a much larger sacrifice.
Let us, therefore, give out of a pure heart. Christians are not required to tithe, but many truly are compelled to give unto others.
The law of Messiah is not of a carnal commandment, but He is the means unto eternal life (Heb 7:16).
Christians are not required to tithe, and any preacher that claims New Covenant believers must tithe 10% of their percent of their income to a church is a deceiver.
The Truth About Tithing
Tithing was a decree of the Mosaic Law, and this Law ended when our Savior laid down his life for all of mankind.
Heb 7:27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.
The New Covenant Law, canceled out the Old Law, thus nullifying the requirement to tithe (Heb 7:18).
Messiah is our High Priest, and the author of the everlasting covenant (Heb 3:1, 4:14, 8:1).
Gal 5:18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
There is not a single command, in the Word of Yahweh, for a New Covenant Church to tithe.
