Very few Christian believers deny the existence of the Father and the Son. Unfortunately most of these same believers deny that the Father is also the Son; even though this is what Yahshua (Jesus) clearly taught.
1 John 2:23 Whosoever <G3956> denies <G720> the Son <G5207> has <G2192> not <G3761> the Father <G3962>: (he that) acknowledges<G3670>the Son <G5207> has <G2192> the Father <G3962>also <G2532>

The Greek word kai (G 2532) is used primarily as a connector as in it joins together words or word groups. Also, in 1 John 2:22, this Greek word (kai) connects the Father to the Son as one.
1 John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denies that Yahshua is the Messiah? He is antichrist, that denies the Father (is) also the Son
