He is my rock and my salvation, represents a mistranslation. Yahweh alone is The Savior of mankind.
Psalms 62:1-2 Truly my soul waiteth upon Yahweh: from him cometh my salvation. He is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence, I shall not be greatly moved
Yahshua (the Savior) is the Messiah who came forth from the Father, and He declared that no one comes to the Father except through Him. The revelation of the Father is through the Son, who is the image of the Father (John 14:6-7, Isa 9:6).
Psalms 62:1-2 Truly my soul <H5315> waiteth <H1747> upon God <H430>: from him cometh my salvation <H3444>. He only is my rock <H6697> and my salvation <H3444>; he is my defence <H4869>; I shall not be greatly <H7227> moved <H4131>
The transliteration of H 3444, יְשׁוּעָה is Yeshuwah which according to Strong’s, is pronounced (yesh-u-a). Yahshua may not be the correct spelling, but as far as the pronunciation is concerned, it sounds very much the same. We can be absolutely sure that Messiah’s actual name was not Jesus. We also know He is the promised Savior, which is the meaning of H3444.
Could Yahweh-Yahshua be another hidden compound name, that includes the name Yahweh, along with a title describing who He is.
He is my rock and my salvation? Salvation is what we receive, through The Savior, when He returns to reign on earth for a 1,000 years.
My soul rests in Yahweh Yahshua he is my rock, Yahshua is my defense, I shall not be greatly moved (Psalms 62:1-2).
Yahshua is a title that means Savior, and He is the rock of our Salvation. He is the the Savior of the Old and New Testament Saints.
Isaiah 2:10 Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of Yahweh, and for the glory of his majesty
1 Cor 10:1-5 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; And did all eat the same spiritual meat; And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was the Messiah. But with many of them Yahweh was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
