The Redeemed of The Lord
The redeemed of the Lord, are those who have accepted the cleansing power of the shed blood of Christ and worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. The conclusion of this redemptive process is our Salvation, ready to be revealed at the end of this age (1 Pet 1:2-9).
Isaiah 51:11 Therefore the redeemed of the Lord shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
The redeemed of the Lord that Isaiah is speaking of have the new law of Christ in their hearts (Isa 51:7; Heb 10:16).
The Redeemed of the Lord Are in Christ
Gal 4:4-5 But when the fulness of the time was come, God himself sent forth the Son…To redeem them that were under the law, that they might receive the adoption of sons
All that have the Spirit of Christ in their hearts are considered His children, and the inheritance of the kingdom of God is only possible through Him (Gal 4:6-7).
The redeemed of the Lord, are those who Christ has delivered from the power of death. When Christ returns to reign in mount Zion, our redemption in Him will be complete. When we see the Great Tribulation events start to unfold, we are told to look for His return, as our redemption is at hand (Luke 21:28). The redeemed of the Lord will receive the promise of Salvation, which occurs at His Second Coming.
Isaiah 62:11-12 Behold, the Lord hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.
Luke 1:68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,
Yahshua the Lord God of Israel, was manifest or revealed in the flesh, and laid down His life to call the redeemed that He had chosen unto Himself. The word redeemed here is used three times and is in reference to his conquering of sin and death. Redemption, on the other hand, refers to a time of transformation wherein the redeemed of the Lord will put on immortality and incorruption, ready to be revealed at His Second Coming.
All who are cleansed in His redeeming work on the cross wait for the redemption of the mortal body. The redeemed of the Lord that will Inherit Zion also inherit the right to be called the true Israel of God (Luke 21:28; Rom 8:23; Eph 1:10-14; 2 Tim 1:10; 1 Cor 15:53).
Luke 1:77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,
In the Old Testament quite often where the words his, and people, are used together the translation is incorrect. Possession of, in the sense of belonging to Him is not always the intended meaning. Only those who truly know Yahshua and are faithful to Him are counted as His possession. Conversely, in the New Testament, the term his people is always used in reference to belonging to Him, as in a purchased possession. The redeemed of the Lord, have a personal relationship with Yahshua and He knows their names.
Romans 4:13-14 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:
The redeemed of the Lord also represent the true Israel Of God
Isaiah 65:1-2 I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name. I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts;
Israel that did not obtain the law of righteousness failed as a result of unfaithfulness.
Gal 6:15 For in our Messiah Yahshua neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature
Those that fulfill the new law of Christ are the Israel of God (Gal 6:16).
Romans 10:20-21 But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me. But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.
Through Christ, we can be a part of the Commonwealth of Israel.
Eph 2:19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
The redeemed of the Lord included the faithful who were under the first covenant promise. Christ is the fulfillment of that promise to all that believe and follow him (Eph 2:12, Heb 8:6, 9:15).
Romans 9:6-7 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children
